We are pleased to announce that the Hastings District Council has come aboard as a Keystone Sponsor of the HB Future Farming Trust.
Trust Chair Liz Krawczyk welcomed HDC’s support: "Hastings and many of its ratepayers are at the centre of our region’s primary sector economy. We look forward to working with the council on projects aimed at ensuring the long-term resilience of Hastings farmers and growers, a goal fully aligned with the Council's 'Eco-District' strategy.”
Ann Redstone, chair of the HDC eco-district subcommittee commented: "Hastings District Council is very pleased to be supporting the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Trust."
"Primary industry is a key driver of our Hastings and wider Hawke’s Bay economy, so it is appropriate that we support initiatives that assist the industry to find innovative ways to address the challenges it faces. In these times of escalating costs and rising environmental standards, it is of benefit to our whole community to assist our primary producers in finding ways to meet these demands, while ensuring that their businesses remain productive, profitable, resilient and sustainable."
HDC joins Napier Port and Bayleys Country as Keystone Sponsors of the Trust.
